Our students Craig Sinclair (Euro 2010 Bronze Medal), Jon Nicholson and Gez Coville, went to Lisbon to compete in the 2010 European Championships, which this year had a participation of over 1700 competitors.
Their participation was first on Big IBJJF Championship(3rd largest in the World) and the balance was positive with great performances from all our students, with the garantee that if they continue to evolve this way in the 2011 Europen Championship they will get a medal,as Jon and Gez already have done in the domestic competitions here in the UK,Congratulations joob weel done!
Prof. Alex Machado despite the severe knee injury, decided to participate in the European Championship before undergoing surgery on his knee for the sheer pleasure of competing. (Prof. Alex its already 3xEuropean Champion)
Even with 50% of is ideal physical conditioning and being forced to change his game and weight category entirely due to knee injury, Alex manages to bring the Silver medal for our team.
This year after recovered Prof.Alex will devote himself to training in order to win for our team the World Cup!
Our students also had the time and opportunity to visit Prof.Alex Machado Academy in Lisbon,Gracie Barra Lisbon Academy and socialize with Prof. Alex Portuguese Students!
