Our team went to British Open lead by our instructor Kane Chandler and brought very good results taking into consideration the young age of our team.
Kane fought a category with 32 fighters and won 3 fights (2 submissions) to reach the semi-final. Due to an monstrous error of the organization the opponent that lost to him in the fight before was called to fight the semi-final and the class was closed without the organization had realized the error, this unbeliveble error stoped Kane from winning a silver or gold medal, as we was the storgest on is division!
When the organization realized the error they wanted to offer a bronze medal to Kane, but he refused to accept because it meant he had lost a fight and that's not what happened.
This error affected true on the division and true was not served, because in our opinion it should been given the right to Kane fight the semi-half.
Yet in the next championships Kane will demonstrate once again why it is one of Alex Machado disciples with a great future ahead of him in the world of BJJ.
Catharina and Ben made there debut on competitions and fought very well getting Bronze Medail for our team.
Our other Instructor Jamie Sutherland also fought in a nogi contest and said he fought the best he has in a long time but was knocked out the contest by a close fight on points.
