At the Gracie invitational(Second biggest BJJ competition in Europe), Kane was doing is first competition since Prof Alex Machado give him his well deserved purple belt.
With 8 fighters in the group, Kane won the first fight 15-2 on points. After throwing is opponent, Kane spent the whole time on top working for submissions but he was defending really tight and didn't do anything, despite being down on points. The second fight against an experienced Purple belt, Kane threw him and they had some transitions on the ground and a really close fight. With 1 minute to go, Kane was losing 6-7 and his opponent started stalling and Kane ended up losing the fight on points. As he won the first fight Kane got the bronze medal in is purple belt debut in the biggest UK competition and 2ºlargest in Europe, Great Job!
Kane also competed at the London international judo event on Saturday and won three fights to get 5th place out of 15. The standard was quite high so it was a great result also!
